Emotive. Intimate. Artful. Completely human.
My wedding photography is filled with movement, connection, deep colour and real emotion.
Some photographs will feel like art.
Some will be beautifully imperfect.
Some will make you laugh because you had no idea they happened.
And some will hit you straight in the chest.
I’ll photograph the dress, the rings, the flowers and everyone looking at the camera. Those photographs matter.
But the ones that undo you will usually be something else.
A hand resting on your back. Your dad watching from across the room. Your grandmother dancing. Your partner looking at you like there is nobody else there.
That is what I’m looking for.
CANDID WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY THAT STILL FEELS LIKE ART
Your wedding is not a content day.
You spent months, sometimes years, planning it. You should not spend it being pulled away from everyone you love so your photographer can recreate somebody else’s Pinterest board.
Of course we’ll create beautiful portraits. We’ll use the light, the location, the clothes and every incredible detail you chose.
But I will never make your wedding revolve around photographs.
I want you drinking the champagne, hugging your people, crying through the speeches and losing yourself on the dance floor.
You live it. I’ll make sure you never forget it.
WHAT IT'S ACTUALLY LIKE HAVING ME THERE
I'm a people person before I'm a photographer.
I'll probably know everyone's name by the end of the day and somehow end up knowing things about your aunty I definitely didn't need to know.
But I'm also paying attention. Constantly.
I can usually tell when you need me to step in, when you need reassurance, when you need five minutes away from everyone, and when I need to stop talking and let something happen.
If we're running late, I'm not stressing you out about it.
If the weather turns, we'll work with it.
If you suddenly hate having your photo taken, I'll get you moving and laughing and out of your own head.
And if I need to take charge, I will.
I bring a calmness to weddings because very little rattles me. But calm doesn't mean boring. I want you laughing, drinking champagne, getting dirty, dancing, crying and actually being at your wedding.
There'll be direction when you need it.
There'll be space when you don't.
And somewhere amongst all of that, I'll be watching for the stuff you didn't even know was happening.
You don't need to manage me on your wedding day.
